Limited Edition of Souk Madinat Jumeirah Mural 2020 

"Halla Walla” is local slang and it means “Hi” or “Hi there"! In Amrita’s signature style of Voice note Art(c) she has recorded the phrase “Halla Walla” and captured the shape of the sound wave, represented by the vertical lines. She then encapsulates the spirit of the meaning through the images.

Local dialect and slang in every culture is a great way to get an understanding and appreciation.

It connects with the local nationals and residents of the UAE but also help educate the visitors in a fun and colourful way. 

Amrita painted the “Halla Walla” mural at the Souk Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, UAE and both the Souk Madinat Jumeirah and Amrita Sethi invite you to the Souk to check out the original artwork.  Go to the Souk and stand in between the lady and the boy and hi five your friend or family and tag both @soukmedinatjumeirah and @art.by.amrita as well for the chance to featured on the Instagram pages.
